Code of Conduct
Hen Hud Youth Football Code of Conduct
At Hen Hud Youth Football, we believe in fostering a positive and respectful environment where all players, coaches, parents, and volunteers work together to promote sportsmanship, skill development, and a love of the game. Our Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for behavior that we uphold within our community. By participating in our program, all members agree to adhere to the following guidelines:
- Respect for All
Players: Treat teammates, coaches, opponents, and officials with respect at all times. Embrace diversity, inclusivity, and teamwork, recognizing that every player has value.
Coaches: Lead by example with integrity, fairness, and encouragement. Provide positive feedback and guidance to players, fostering an environment of growth and development.
Parents/Guardians: Support your child, the team, and the coaches by remaining positive and respectful. Refrain from engaging in negative or unsportsmanlike behavior at games or practices.
- Sportsmanship
All individuals involved in Hen Hud Youth Football are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship, win or lose. Celebrate successes with humility and accept challenges with a positive attitude.
Players should play fairly, respect the rules, and never engage in unsportsmanlike conduct, such as taunting, cheating, or intentionally injuring others.
Coaches should ensure that all players get equal playing time, support player development, and emphasize the importance of teamwork and respect over winning at all costs.
Parents/Guardians should always encourage their child to participate with honor and maintain a positive presence on the sidelines.
- Safety First
All participants must prioritize safety. Players are required to wear appropriate gear, including helmets, pads, and other protective equipment.
Coaches will ensure that all practices and drills are conducted with safety as the top priority, and that all players are trained on proper techniques to prevent injury.
Parents and guardians should keep the health and well-being of their child at the forefront, ensuring they are physically prepared for participation.
- Commitment
Players: Attend practices, games, and team events consistently. Communicate with coaches regarding any absences or issues that might impact participation.
Coaches: Be punctual, prepared, and present at all scheduled practices and games. Show commitment to the development and well-being of all players.
Parents/Guardians: Be supportive of your child’s commitment to the team and encourage timely attendance at practices and games.
- Positive Communication
Everyone is encouraged to express thoughts, ideas, and concerns in a respectful manner.
Players: Speak up if there is something troubling you, and always do so with respect and in a positive way.
Coaches: Be approachable and available to players and parents, and always communicate in a respectful, constructive manner.
Parents/Guardians: If issues arise, direct concerns to coaches or league officials in a calm and respectful way, and allow time for proper resolution.
- Zero Tolerance for Abusive Behavior
Bullying, physical violence, or verbal abuse of any kind will not be tolerated. Any individual found engaging in such behavior will be subject to disciplinary action, including potential removal from the program.
This includes aggressive behavior from players, coaches, or spectators during practices, games, or any team-related events.
- Be a Positive Role Model
Everyone involved in Hen Hud Youth Football should aim to be a positive role model for the young athletes in the program. Set an example for others through your actions, attitude, and behavior, on and off the field.
- Compliance with Rules
All participants are expected to follow the policies and guidelines set by Hen Hud Youth Football, as well as any relevant governing organizations. This includes adhering to team rules, league regulations, and any applicable local, state, or federal laws.
By participating in Hen Hud Youth Football, you acknowledge and agree to uphold this Code of Conduct. We believe that by working together, we can create an environment where every player feels valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential both on and off the field.
Thank you for helping us build a positive and respectful community!
